On "GMA," Haynes got to meet his hero, Sanders, when the former Dallas Cowboys star walked into the show's Times Square studio and surprised the younger football star. Haynes is such a fan of Sanders that, as a kid, he was nicknamed "Geion" by his mom. A college football career would put him on the path to play in the NFL, just like his hero, NFL Pro Football Hall of Famer Deion Sanders. Though just a high school junior, Haynes said he is already being looked at by schools like the University of Houston and Texas Tech. "Get the ball high," said Haynes, who said it only took him "three or four times" to nail the trick, which he did "just for fun." Haynes, who attends Manvel High School in Manvel, Texas, appeared on "Good Morning America" today to explain how he pulled off the amazing trick. The video, posted on Monday, shows the 17-year-old high school receiver throwing a long, high pass, racing for it and catching it, all on his own.Ĥ00-Pound High School Football Player Wows Scouts has created a stir online with a Vine video that shows the football player catching his own Hail Mary pass.
